Easy cheap DIYs christmas edition

Last but not least, we have the gift ideas. Yes, I have focused on girls this time. If you would want inspiration for boys too, let me know and I will fix that!

Most females like jewelry, of that I am quite sure. Now what if they were customized?

I have a weakness for pokémon (read generation 1) and having Pikachu by your side all day is the best feeling. I am proud of these, and with homemade jewelry you can both make it personal and adjust the difficulty level to match your skills.

Whether you buy something or make the token from scratch all you need to make it an earring is the string you actually pull through the ear, and see that little round thing on the head? Pierce that through (yes, it makes you feel like a horrible person but stay strong) and make sure it secured.

Then how is this cheap you ask me? Other than Pikachu I made these mushrooms. If you look, you will easily find things in your home that you can use. For example, the body of the mushrooms are actually cotton buds. This will help keep the price down.

If you'd like more step by step tutorials, please let me know! The idea behind this serie was more to get your imagination going and to realise you don't need to buy all fancy stuff in order for it to look good. You don't even need to be good at it, homemade presents are my favorite since that means that person really care about you enough to put all that time and thought into the making of your gift. And think of all the frustration haha. No work of art is without struggle.

Easy cheap DIYs christmas edition

It's officially time to get excited for christmas! With less than one month to go, I wanted to share a couple easy DIYs to do with a small budget. There will be three themes, all divided with their own post.

First up is a practical one. During the winters we enjoy using candles more than ever. Unless you use a lighter, you'll need some matches. The market is full of super cute matchboxes but why not make your own? You can simply refill it, and the best part, it's one of a kind.

Originally the whole box was dark blue, nothing exciting happening.

I kept it simple and painted it shimmery white. Then I went on adding these pearls and some cutouts that are actually for nail decoration. Two snowmans and a detective dog for some reason.

My inspiration was winter wonderland but I think it would look adorable with the classic red and gold theme, with maybe a reindeer and some ribbons!

Mac complete comfort cream review

A few months back I bought the complete comfort cream from Mac. Before writing a review I always use  the whole product to be able to give fair judgement and let my skin get used to the product.

It's supposed to be for sensitive skin and reduce redness, but contains fragrance which for some, including me, can make the redness worse. My skin felt constantly irritated and every time I applied it I felt this sort of short burn.

The only positive thing is that it worked better on dry skin than oily. I have oily skin myself, but as a makeup artist I got the chance to try this on a client who had very dry skin indeed.

The package is another letdown. It's a simple round jar, without a pump. This is a mistake for two reasons. We have the standard bacteria spreading, every single time you put your fingers in it, but even if you avoid that, most of the active ingredients, the antioxidant and vitamins, break down in contact with air. So the package makes this product decrease drastically in quality once opened. Without these ingredients working fully, the product won't be able to do what it says.

Since june when I bought it I have made a commitment to only use cruelty free products. Mac however still test on animals. I refuse to be part of millions of suffering just because of human vanity, but that is a completely different story.

Hope this has helped you and please let me know your thoughts about this product, Mac or anything else you can think of. I would love to read it!
